DE SHOU PALACE HERITAGE MUSEUM

- A Museum of Southern Song Culture -

Student project

Individual work

Year: 2020

Location: Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China

Hangzhou is the representative of China's "Garden City". Walking in the city, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of West Lake and visit historical buildings without any resistance. De Shou Palace Heritage Park is one such place that is friendly to neighborhoods.

Rejecting labelled regional symbols, museum-style passive protection, and rough product packaging of the tourism economy... These will only continue to consume the inherent vitality of regional architectural culture. The project makes me think about the significance of heritage conservation. What do heritage museums conserve? What is the human heritage that needs to be conserved in the future?

During the design process, the studio worked together to complete the site survey. All shown in this project are my personal independent designs at later stages.
